Block 3 of First Semester of Medical School

Another update from Bonaire; the third block of first semester is here.  The MD3 students (3rd semester medical students) told me that the block 3 is the hardest out of all the four blocks because of the amount of information to study for is “volumous”, according to one professor.  It seems as if most students spend at least 70% of their study time to study Histology.  The Histology professor takes a great deal of time to challenge us tremendously.  How does he challenge us you say?  He will ask something from a concept of a tissue or cell to the exact detail such as what are the components make up the tissue’s extracellular matrix.  The students are expected to tell if there are proteglycans, or collagen fibers, or both, etc.  Let’s rock this block =P.
